Anchoring Political Life

Anchoring political solutions. The crucial channel between stability and public policy.

There is only one other possible Channel: it crosses three Levels.

There is a necessary connection between maintenance of stability-CG7
and the resolution of political differences-CG4 in a sovereign society. Stability demands a flow of policies that deal with deficits or failures in societal institutions. Conversely, policies will impact on stability and can strengthen or weaken any vision of unity.

The Channel here is named: Societal Harmony.

If the importance of harmony in society is neglected, tensions are likely to build-up eventually producing social turmoil, ultimately leading to the abandonment of politics for violence.

ClosedNOTE: Other Potential Channels are not appropriate.

CG6-Political WillCG3-Mobilization and below: Society-wide imperatives are too general to directly influence mobilization, political work or responsibility.

CG5-Authorization ArrangementsCG2-Political Work and CG1-Social Responsibility: Political work and social responsibility must be mediated by something substantive, like a mobilization (CG3) or a policy inquiry (CG4), to affect leadership and governance.

CG4-Resolution of DifferencesCG1-Social Responsibility: The the latter needs mediation by a higher level to have any impact on the former.
